lost my iPod

Few weeks back I lost my iPod, morning rush hour on a crowded train. I have given up all hopes of retrieving it, which depresses me. Especially when I saw an officer walk on the train just as it was falling out of my pack. I fault myself, but my feelings for the degradation of society has grown bitter.

It was a 5 year old iPod and probably not worth much, but the feeling that no one returned it and if they did, is the system that corrupt that I couldn't retrieve it from lost and found? Which I traveled to, and have contacted twice. That experience was not a bad as I thought it would be, but it was the end of the line, where all hope is lost.

My faith in my fellow Metro riders has been shaken tremendously along with my faith in today's society. But I must strive to Save Metro and will do my part to make it a better and saver.

Metro is like . . .

I read a blog post, Metro is like that friend, shows up late and always costs you money. Ha! its more like a family member you can't get rid of. Their family, you can't throw them out, but you still have to rely on them, and they keep asking for money. They show up uninvited or not at all when needed. Someone you love to hate.

Metro's Interal Forecast

Seems that so many paths cross on the Metro, peoples lives and daily treks to and from work, are somewhat intertwined. All of these paths intersect directly or indirectly. In today's news, we have the molester that was arrested as reported on UnsuckMetro, a molester was caught.

I always try to keep an eye out for anything troublesome on my daily commute, I go by the motto, Not on my watch.

The other story was the man that fell and collapsed at the Smithsonian platform. This is frequented by many people from out of town, so it seems that this problem is not just local but more national. I think to myself, what would I have done in that situation. I'd hope that I would've done something, if even call 911 or the unremembered Metro emergency number.

We are all God's creatures, can't we all get along and help each other?

Check your self

I just wanted to post something because its been a while. I've been caught up with a few things, but I should be back updating real soon.

As for Metro, not too many complaints, actually, I am astonished to see an increasing amount of 8 car trains on the Orange line. Much needed and greatly appreciated. Doesn take away from the disaster last week. Single tracking, then crowded trains, then sick passengers, then broken door, then unloaded train. All in one mornings rush hour. Was definitely handled in proper Metro Fashion. They need to check their JUNK.

Have a great Metro Day

Schiltz Malt Liquor for Breakfast?

My Mornings commute was uneventful, until Dunn Loring. A black gentleman stumbled on and plopped down across the train from me. He looked disheveled with a Nats hat and a 1/2 a twelve pack of The Bull.

I wish I took a picture, I apologize, but METRO told me not to use those things on Metro anymore, or they will be stolen. Anyway, back to the drunk. He was about to pass out, then the next stop about to puke. You feel slightly sorry for him, except its 7:30 in the morning. Needless to say, he was escorted off the train by our METRO's Finest at Metro Center.

I am caught between, he wasn't really hurting anyone, kinda smelt, but wasn't taking up two seats. Its just not something you want to see first thing in the morning. Society is to blame, I am sure he will rob my iPhone as soon as he sobers up.

Have a great Friday!

Brawling on DC Metro

Responding to the Elefant Plaza fight that sent 5 people to the hospital. Not sure what else to say.

Its today's youth, society is to blame. Violence surrounds every aspect of today's society. Hard to escape it, until something like this happens. More police presence? Yeah that's putting a band-aid on a hemorrhage. Until society itself starts to change toward good, and self control and common decency, its only going to get worse.
